Pat was born in Philadelphia, but her farming family moved to Delray Beach, Florida looking for year-round growing seasons when she was a year old. She lived there until a brief stint in the Air Force took her to California.

 

She graduated Florida State University with a B.S. in Secondary Education, which was never used for its intended purpose.

 

Fixing Boo Boo; A Story of Traumatic Brain Injury was her first major published work, but she is currently working on a companion book, where other families tell their stories, showing the broad range of brain injuries.

 

Although she has poetry published in several anthologies, Proverbs of My Seasons; Poetry of Transition is her first published collection. A Motley Miscellany: Misfit Poems That Fit Together followed in 2020

 

Pat also writes short stories and won second place in the 2004 Seven Hills Contest with her story, Divorce Sale. That story and many others will be in a collection of short stories to be released in 2024.

After her father introduced her to growing roses, she created her own rose garden, then served as President of the Tallahassee Area Rose Society, and is a bronze medal recipient with the American Rose Society.

 

Pat lives in Tallahassee, Florida with husband, Gary, and a rambunctious puppy.
